Srinagar, Oct 29 (JKNS): The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir of Crime Branch J&K has filed a chargesheet against five accused in a 2017 case involving alleged cheating, forgery and fraudulent sale of migrant property in Pattan area of Baramulla district, with the complainant allegedly paying over ₹1 crore for land but neither receiving possession nor getting the money refunded.

The case was registered on a written complaint alleging fraudulent sale of 14 kanals and 3 marlas of land bearing Survey No. 349 at Mouza Wussan, Goshbugh Pattan, owned by Jawahar Lal Bhat. Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Dar secured bail, while Brij Nath remains in Central Jail. Other cases against both accused are also under investigation.
