Kupwara, Oct 29 (JKNS): In a significant step towards strengthening women-centric policing and ensuring prompt redressal of public grievances, Police Station Sogam organised a Women’s Grievance Redressal Camp at Shumrial village, which was exclusively conducted by women police officers.
The camp witnessed the participation of a good number of women from the area, who came forward to share their concerns and register their grievances. The women police officers gave a patient hearing to the complainants, and several grievances were addressed and resolved on the spot, ensuring timely relief to the women concerned.
The initiative provided a safe, accessible, and supportive platform for women to voice their concerns and seek police assistance in a comfortable environment. It also aimed to strengthen public confidence in the police and encourage women to approach law enforcement authorities without hesitation.
The initiative reflects the commitment of Kupwara Police towards responsive, accessible, and women-friendly policing, with a focus on resolving grievances at the grassroots level through direct public interaction.
Kupwara Police reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the dignity, rights, and security of women and assured that such public outreach initiatives will continue to ensure that women’s concerns are heard and addressed promptly, sensitively, and in accordance with the law. (JKNS)
