Budgam cop tests positive for Covid-19

Srinagar, Apr 16: A police cop from Budgam district was tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, officials said.
The cop was posted at Bemina area of Srinagar and has come contact with Tableegi Jamaat members.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Nazir said the police cop from Rathsuna Budgam has been found positive after coming in contact with Tableegi Jamat.
“He is posted at India Reserve Police (IRP) 3rd Battalion at Bemina Srinagar. Though he didn’t attend any religious event organized by Tableegi Jamat but came into contact with them in Srinagar,” he said.
“We have dispatched a message to his seniors and those who have come in his contact will be quarantined,” he added. (JKNS)
