Anantnag, Nov 5 (JKNS): The Jal Shakti Department has announced a temporary disruption in water supply to several areas of Kokernag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district from November 7 to 10 due to essential maintenance work on the Daksum-Wangam Main Line.
According to a public advisory issued by the Assistant Executive Engineer, PHE Jal Shakti Sub-Division Kokernag, as per news agency JKNS, the maintenance work will be carried out along the Dandipora-Gadvail stretch of the main line.
The affected areas include Bindoo Kokernag, Dandipora, Soyan Wangam, Zalangam, Pindobal, Bahwatoo, parts of Vailoo, Dewalgam, Adigam and Germanpora Khretty.
The department has advised residents of the affected areas to store adequate quantities of water in advance to meet their daily requirements during the disruption period.
It further stated that emergency water tanker services will be made available in the affected areas as and when required to minimise public inconvenience.
