Srinagar, April 16: Amid coronavirus lockdown, the Directorate of Family Welfare, MCH and Immunization J&K Thursday asked all Deputy Chief Medical Officers to continue family planning and immunization activities.As per the order, the Department asked all Deputy Chief Medical Officers to continue immunization activities to the best possible level.”The concerned officials must ensure precautionary measures in view of COVID-19 pandemic like social distancing and use of masks,” it reads.It advised health officials to avoid overcrowding at immunization sites and allow single beneficiary at a time “Ensure proper hand hygiene of health care workers after immunizing each beneficiary. Hand washing areas to be designated at each immunization site for hand hygiene,” the order said. (JKNS)
