GANDERBAL, JANUARY 03: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal reiterated that district Administration is committed to provide best sports facilities to the youth within the district.
He said this during the final match of the football tournament that was organized by Lexican Football Club at Madri Meharban ground Ganderbal on Saturday evening.
The final match was played between lexican Football Club and Sindh Valley Football Club which was won by Lexican Football Club.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC appreciated the organizers for organizing the tournament in the district which he said provided a platform to the youth to showcase their talent. The DC assured that district administration shall provide all possible support in organizing such tournaments in future too.
While interacting with the players, the DC said that UT Government has taken slew of measures to give flip to the sports activities and district administration is also taking all requisite measures with regard to development of play fields in every Panchayat of the district besides various sports activities shall be taken in coming days to nourish the talent of our youth and to provide them platform to prove their mettle.
Later, a felicitation ceremony was also organized during which best performers in the tournament were felicitated.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmed Baba was also present on the occasion.
