Youth falls off from rooftop while cleaning snow in Uri, suffers serious injuries

A 25-year-old youth suffered fractures after he slipped while cleaning snow for the rooftop of his house in Uri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday evening.

According to reports, Faiz ullha Mir (25) son Lal Din Mir fell down while cleaning snow from the rooftop of his house at Nambla Uri. He was immediately shifted to SDH Uri.

Block Medical officer (BMO) Uri Dr Mohammad Ramzan Mir told news agency that the youth has got “burst fracture L3.”
“He got Paraplegia (impairment in motor or sensory function of the lower extremities) and his right shoulder is also dislocated.”

The BMO further said that he has been shifted to SKIMS for advanced treatment.
