Reviews Snow clearance operation, restoration of essential services, inspects power grid station
KULGAM, JANUARY 09: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today conducted an extensive tour of the district to review snow clearance operations, restoration of essential services, status of essential commodities and healthcare services.
The DC on the occasion visited Kulgam main town, Chabagund, Aadigantnoo and several other areas of the district and enquired from people about the restoration operations and availability of essentials. He personally monitored Snow clearance operations at several rural and far-flung areas including Malvan Banimulla road.
Earlier DDC inspected power grid station Kulgam and It was informed that electricity has been restored in almost all the areas of the district.
With regard to Snow clearance operations, the DC said that the majority of roads have been cleared and all men and machinery are in service to clear the rest. He added that two Snow cutters have been pressed into Snow clearance operations.
Later, he visited several ration sale centres of the district to monitor sale of rations.
