Srinagar, April 23: Two persons were killed and one suffered injuries when a load carrier skidded off the on Srinagar-Jammu highway and rolled down into a 300 ft gorge on late on Wednesday night.According to police officer at Ramban told JKNS that two persons were killed at Marog area of the district after their vehicle skidded off. The vehicle in which 3 people were traveling towards Srinagar, the official said.Following the accident, the rescue operation was launched by locals and police and after that dead bodies were retrieved from the gorge. The deceased were identified as Faryad Ahmed son of Manzoor Ahmed and Mansoor Ahmed son of Mashkoor Ahmed– both residents of Kunfer, Chanderkoot.However, injured Naseem Ahmed son of Maqsood Ahmed was shifted to Jammu hospital for specialized treatment.According to police, the accident took place on Wednesday late night, as vehicle was skipped as driver lost control over his vehicles and due to which two died on the spot and one was injured.
