Army trooper injured after his rifle discharges in Kupwara

Srinagar, April 24: An Army trooper injured in north Kashmir’s Hirri area of Kupwara district on Friday after his rifle discharged, officials said.Havaldar Rakesh Kumar’s rifle went off and the bullet hit his chest, injuring him instantly. Kumar was posted with the army’s 160 TA headquarters at Hirri Kupwara. As per the officials, the incident occurred while he was cleaning his service rifle.  Following the incident the injured soldier was immediately taken to military hospital Drugmulla in critical conditions,Meanwhile, police has started an investigation into the incident.
