DDC member, MCB president, 9 councilors join Apni Party

District Development Council (DDC) member from Panzinara-A territorial constituency of district Srinagar, Muhammad Yaseen Rather and Municipal Council Baramulla (MCB) President Umar Kakroo along with nine councilors of different wards of the town joined Apni Party at its Srinagar office on Friday.

A statement of Apni Party issued here said that the newly-elected DDC member joined the Apni Party along with his associates in presence of Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari.

Speaking on the occasion, Bukhari welcomed Rather into the party-fold and stressed on him to work tirelessly for mitigation of sufferings of the people in his constituency.

It said that welcoming the other new entrants into the party fold, Bukhari stressed on them to put in their tireless efforts to mitigate the sufferings of the people in their respective areas.

The statement said that the new entrant pledged his full support to the party leadership in fulfillment of party’s socio-economic and political agenda which encompasses restoration of statehood to J&K, equitable development of all the regions besides political empowerment of the people at the grassroots level.

It said besides Kakroo, the councilors of MCB who joined the Apni Party included Vice President MCB Mudasir Ahmad Tantray, Councilor JasbirKourWazir, Councilor Misra Begum, Councilor Ghulam Rasool Malik, Councilor GurdeepKour, Councilor AshiqHussainGanai, Councilor Fareeda Begum, Councilor Saba Aijaz and Councilor Zahoor Ahmad Gojri.

Meanwhile, a number of prominent political activists from different parts of Baramulla district including Gulshan Sanhotra (ex-J&K General Secretary Janta Dal) and VirindirGunjoo (Migrant Cell General Secretary) also joined the Apni Party on the occasion.

The statement said that the Apni Party Vice President Usman Majid, General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir and Provincial President, Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Mir, State Secretary and District President Budgam Muntazir Mohiuddin, Coordinator North Kashmir Fazal Mehmood Beigh and District President Baramulla Shoaib Lone were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on this occasion, Umar Kakroo pledged to work for the welfare of people under the guidance of Apni Party leadership besides strengthening the party at the grassroots level.
