Release Pending Bills of Civil Contractors: Apni Party

Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi Seeks Lt. Governors Intervention

SRINAGAR February 2: Apni Party Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi on Tuesday conveyed his grave concerns over the deplorable conditions of Civil Contractors of the Valley who for long have demanded the release of their pending bills in different government departments since many years.

Andrabi spoke to the media at the Party head office in Lal Chowk and termed the pendency of bills as unjustifiable and inexcusable on part of the government as the families of such contractors have been suffering for so long.

‘The government is projecting new works often but the backlog of pending bills is colossal. There are so many contractors who have been compelled to change their professions as they had to feed their families. There is a lackadaisical approach of the government towards the pleas of such contractors whose lives have become miserable’ Andrabi said.
The media advisor requested the interference of Lt. Governor J&k in this regard and sought that the grievances of such contractors be redressed on a fast track basis.

‘The welfare of the civil contractual class is imperative. I implore the hon’ble Lt. Governor of J&K to kindly intervene in this matter as such a lingering is regressive for the development of Jammu and Kashmir. I hope the administration will give due consideration to their demands and pave the way for the immediate release of the pending bills.’
