Newly elected DDC Member administered oath in Anantnag

ANANTNAG, February 6 District Panchayat Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Anantnag, Anshul Garg today administered oath to the newly elected District Development Council (DDC) member Sajida Begum for 08 – Larnoo DDC seat at DC Office Anantnag.

The recounting of votes for the said DDC seat was done on Friday under the supervision of the Election Observer, Micro Observers & other concerned staff appointed by the competent authorities. All the guidelines of the State Election Commission were duly followed during the entire process. .

The process went smoothly amid strict official vigil and adherence to all the SOPs associated with it. Sajida Begum emerged as winner as she secured 61 more votes than her nearest rival

Speaking on the occasion, the DPEO congratulated Sajida Begum and assured her full support from District Administration to vigorously pursue developmental work in the district.

Sajida Begum expressed her gratitude to the authorities for conducting free, fair and transparent DDC Elections in the district. She pledged to uphold the sovereignty and integrity of the country while being honest and loyal to her Constitution. While thanking the people for having voted for her, she expressed her commitment to work for the betterment of their cause.

Among others, Dy. DPEO/ADC(S), DPO and other officers attended  the oath ceremony.
