On the occasion of World Scouts Day which is celebrated to Commemorate the Birth Anniversary of General Baden-Powell, an event was organised by Sopore Rashtriya Rifles to spread awareness regarding this to the students of Army Goodwill School, Sopore. A total of 51 students (27 boys and 24 girls), 27 members of school staff and 10 parents were present during the event.
The students were not only guided on basic laws in Scout like trustworthiness, treat everyone as their friend and to be courteous but were also given information on the importance of confidence, self-esteem, learning life- skills and leadership skills.
At the end, students were also given information about Bharat Scouts and Guide. The cheerfulness on the faces of students was evident and they were all set to be a part of this organisation. They were happy and appreciated the efforts taken by Army to help them in learning something new apart from academics which will help them to become a better human being.
