Leopard killed by locals after injuring man in Pulwama village

A leopard was killed by locals after it injured a person in Pathan village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.

Locals told the news agency, that a leopard attacked a local namely Bilal Ahmad in Pathan village after which he was shifted to a hospital for treatment.

The locals subsequently attacked and killed the leopard in the afternoon, they said.

Wildlife Warden Shopian division, Suhail Intesar while confirming the incident told that a leopard has been killed in retialation by locals after it attacked them in the village.

He added that they have taken the body into their custody and further investigation has been taken up
