Srinagar, 07 Mar 2021. ‘Umeed ki Seher’ a cultural event showcasing the talent of Uri was organised by Indian Army for the people of Uri on 07 March 2021. The event was planned to celebrate the idea of Indian Army as Humsaya of Uri. The healthy relation of the Indian Army with Awam has stood the test of time. After the COVID pandemic, it is time to herald a new era of peace, development and cooperation in “Naya Kashmir”.
The event saw participation from Bollywood Stars Vicky Kaushal and Sonal Chauhan with prominent Kashmiri singers & dancers. Children of Army Goodwill School, Uri also performed during the event.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Major General Virendra Vats, General Officer Commanding Dagger Division, where he thanked the people of Uri, media partners and all the artists who made the event possible. He said, “We look forward to encourage this bonhomie and increase the positive presence of Uri in stories of Baramulla district in particular and Kashmir in general”. He also mentioned that more such events will be conducted in the future to encourage the local artists of Uri.
