March 16: Ganderbal Police launched a plantation drive in collaboration with Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal in the premises of Police establishments at Dignibal. The drive was launched by SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS, besides ASP Ganderbal, DFO Sindh Division Ganderbal, DySP Hqrs Ganderbal, DySP DAR and other officers/officials of the District also participated in plantation drive.
The main aim of this initiative is to promote greenery in our establishments as a part of larger sustainable ecological development. The preservation of our ecology assumes importance so as to stabilize our ecosystem in order to preserve the ecological diversity. Promoting greenery will help us to offset emissions which upset our ecological balance.
SSP Ganderbal while speaking on the occasion said that Ganderbal Police has launched a special drive for plantation of Kail and Deodar sampling in Police establishment premises in order to augment the Green Gold. He also requested people to go for maximum plantation during current month as it is best time for plantation of various kinds of trees to keep the nature in its best balance.
