Three militants killed, three solider injured in ongoing Shopian encounter

Shopian, Apr 8: Three militants have been killed in the ongoing Shopian encounter in South Kashmir.

Gunfight raged in Shopian town after Combined Forces including soldiers from 44 Rashtriya Rifles cordoned off Jan Mohalla area in the main town.

In the initial exchange of fire, three soldiers identified as Sepoy Ram Dev, Sepoy Drug Singh and Sepoy Raj Kumar sustained bullet injuries. The injured soldiers were shifted to hospital where the condition of one of the soldiers is stated to be critical.

Latest reports said that three militant have been killed in the ongoing encounter. The combing operation was going on till the filing of this report.
