District administration Doda roped in MC Bhaderwah for distribution of face masks

DODA, MAY 11: In continuation of efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, district administration Doda has roped in Municipal Committee Bhaderwah for distribution of face masks among the general public. The exercise of manufacturing and distribution of masks is being done under the close supervision of District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode.

 Around 1 lakh face masks has already been supplied to various areas in the district besides among departments like Municipal Council/ committees, Health, Para Military forces, Police, PHE, PDD, food supplies, GMC Doda and other frontline functionaries who are working to combat spread of COVID 19.

District administration has also roped up all the BDC Chairpersons of the district for further distribution of masks among the general public in their respective areas. Besides to provide further impetus to the mask distribution district administration has handed over 7300 local manufactured triple layer face masks ( in addition to already issued 2700) to the authorities of MC Bhaderwah for further distribution among the locals within the municipal limits.

The DDC informed that district administration has now started distribution of additional 2 lakh masks among general public free of cost through FCS&CA department and the distribution is going on across the district. The manufacturing of masks is in process and can be gauzed from the fact that 19000 masks were made in Doda town in a single day.

“District administration is not going to left any stone unturned in order to provide a safe and secure environment to the public” DDC said. He further made an appeal to the public not to violate the restrictions imposed in view of lockdown and to cooperate with the district administration.
