BUDGAM, MAY 13: District Development Commissioner Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganai (KAS) today chaired a meeting of officers to take review of progress achieved in respect of languishing, B2V and PMDP projects at Conference Hall Budgam. Among others, the meeting was attended by ADC, Dr Nasir Ahmad, CPO, SE Hydraulics, CEO, CMO, DIO, all Executive Engineers, Health Officers, and other concerned.

While reviewing the status of languishing and PMDP projects undergoing through different agencies and departments, the DDC said that due to Covid-19 pandemic and ongoing lockdown scenario since March majority of works taken in hand through these schemes got hampered and derailed. Keeping in view ensuing easing of restrictions, the works on all these projects will get restarted with full gear. All logistics and formalities required to be activated have already been started. The concerned departments have been directed to identify priority works under each sector so that necessary funding can be initiated accordingly. Similarly works under B2V also got effected and the completion targets of each work could not mitigate due to prevailing circumstances. There are about 162 works prioritized under R&B, PDD, PHE, Irrigation and RDD under B2V action plan to be completed under already notified earmarked amount for each sector also get effected. However measures are afoot to restart the derailed work by all concerned departments and directions in this regard have already been issued.

During the meeting, DC Budgam reiterated the all departments in the District should highlight their achievements. The departments should also come up with rebuttal or action taken report regarding any complaint or grievances surfacing in social, print or electronic media.
