Qazigund, Apr 28 : A woman and her son were killed in a road accident after a truck hit them in Qazigund area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said here on Wednesday.
An official said that the mother-son duo died when a truck ran over them near Tollpost Qazigund.
He said that the truck was being driven by one Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat and it was on its way from Jammu toward Srinagar.
The duo was taken to a nearby hospital, where they were declared brought dead.
He identified the deceased as Ruby Jan wife of Showkat Ahmad Monchi and her son Jasir Ahmad son of Showkat Ahmad Monchi of Badermona locality of Qazigund.
