May 17: Acting tough against the violators of Government prohibitory orders, Police have seized seven commercial vehicles and arrested the drivers of these vehicles for violating Government prohibitory orders in Ganderbal.Officers in the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora have seized five commercial vehicles and arrested five drivers for defying Government prohibitory orders.Similarly, officers from Police Station Ganderbal have seized two commercial vehicles and arrested both the drivers for defying Government prohibitory orders.Accordingly, cases vide FIR Numbers 97/2020 & 98/2020 under relevant sections of law have been registered against them and further investigation has been initiated.Police have once again requested the general public to follow the restrictions imposed by Government in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and those who are violating the restriction orders will be dealt strictly.
