OoSecurity forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in the Waza Mohalla area of Safapora in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday.
Reports reaching news agency said a joint team of the army’s 13RR, Ganderbal Police cordoned off Waza Mohalla area of Safapora and conducted house to house searches there.
Reports said that all entry and exit points towards the area were sealed off by the security forces.
A police officer told that a search operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Searches were going on in the area when reports last came in.
