Secretary Co-operatives inspects properties of erstwhile JAKFED at Jammu

JAMMU, MAY 24: Secretary, Cooperatives Department, Yasha  Mudgal, today visited various places in Jammu city and inspected the land and properties of erstwhile JAKFED.

Secretary was accompanied by senior officers of Cooperative department.

Secretary said the land and properties of erstwhile JAKFED shall be utilized by the government in a productive and constructive way to benefit the general public optimally besides increasing government revenue. She was briefed about the present status of land and properties and other assets of the erstwhile JAKFED besides latest status of rented properties of the department.

During her visit at Transport Nagar and Amphalla Jammu, Secretary inspected various sections of the buildings of erstwhile JAKFED including godowns, offices, buildings and shops. She directed the officers for proper maintenance of infrastructure, timely white wash and installation of proper sign boards declaring them as government property to ensure the same are not encroached upon.

Later, Secretary visited Fruit Mandi Narwal Jammu and inspected allotted land property of JAKFED and directed the concerned officers to take necessary steps towards putting the properties of erstwhile JAKFED to productive public use by the government.

During the inspection, the staff members of the erstwhile JAKFED called on the Secretary and raised their issues including release of their pending salaries and retirement dues.

Secretary gave a patient hearing to the staff assuring due consideration to all the issues raised by them for redressal.
