ADDC Kupwara reviews vaccination for 18-45 age group people

KUPWARA, MAY 24: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the Covid vaccination for 18-45 age group people in the district.

It was informed in the meeting that vaccination of people within 18-45 age group will be accelerated in a targeted manner.  It was also informed  that the target people to be vaccinated have been categorized into two groups i.e. High Risk group and Vulnerable group.

Further, High risk group include lawyers, journalists, college/ university faculty, on duty government employees, shopkeepers and construction workers. The vulnerable group includes disabled, widows, orphans, single mothers and morbid persons.

On the occasion, the ADDC stressed upon the concerned officers to submit the details about their respective group of people assigned to them so that the vaccination can be started instantly.  He said the vaccination shall go with the starting list and will be expanded gradually and then moved to universal coverage.

Among others ARTO Kupwara, Dy. CMO, Nodal Officer Covid Control Room, Executive officers of Municipal Committee Kupwara & Handwara and other concerned attended the meeting.
