Dev activities resumed after partial unlock in Doda: DC

ASHA, Anganwadi workers being trained in RAT testing’

DODA, JUNE 04: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma today said that the development activities have resumed in the District after partial-unlock amid strict observance of Covid safety protocols.

He was briefing the media persons here at his office complex regarding Covid-19 scenario, and the situation after easing restrictions in the district.

The facility for basic Covid treatment has been ensured and I am satisfied with the management and functioning of Panchayat level Covid care centres in the district, he added while responding to media queries.

He also informed that ASHA & Anganwadi workers are being trained for conducting Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) in all the villages of the district.

Regarding ease in restrictions, he informed that limited economic activities have been allowed with strict observance of Covid-19 appropriate behaviour. Authorities have been directed to enforce the SOPs in letter and spirit.

He further informed that developmental activities have been resumed with strict directions to follow Covid SOPs. He said the responsibility will be fixed for any violation in this regard.

He further informed that 750LPM  Oxygen Generation Plant at GMC is being further augmented with another 750 LPM plant, which is expected to be commissioned soon, while DPRs have been prepared for similar oxygen generation plants for Gandoh and Bhaderwah also.

Giving details about covid situation, he informed that the positivity rate has declined and at present there are 1097 active cases out of which 35 are in hospitals at Doda and Bhaderwah.

He appealed to the public above 45 years of age to take vaccination. He informed that the administration was ready to set up special vaccination both where public demand comes.
