Currently 1029 positive cases in district Doda; Positivity rate declines to 5%; over 69% age appropriate persons vaccinated: DC

‘ERA likely to install 2 more O2 Plants at Doda, Gandoh by next week’

DODA, JUNE 07: Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Sharma today said that covid-19 situation is showing visible improvement in Doda district with constant decline in daily positivity rate.

“Currently there are 1029 positive cases in the district, while the daily positivity rate has declined to 5% as compared to the last month” the DC said while briefing media about the prevailing Covid-19 scenario and mitigation measures.

Giving further details, he said the rural covid facilities have been operationalised in all Panchayats and over 500 RAT tests have been conducted in these centres by the trained ASHA workers in the last 7 days.

With regard to vaccination, the DC informed that over 69 percent of the 45 year old and above population has been vaccinated. He further said that the pockets with low vaccination have been identified to achieve 100% inoculation.

About the augmentation of existing oxygen generation infrastructure in the district, the DC informed that ERA is likely to start the installation of O2 plants at Gandoh and Doda by next week.

The DC apprised that enforcement of covid protocols has intensified and the people are being motivated to follow the same for their safety.
