Aid to Stranded Civilians at Ratta Chamb

On 11 Jun 21, inclement weather conditions, heavy rainfall and excessive lightning, a large part of Mughal road was blocked due to felling of several trees in Gen Area between Ratta Chamb and Mansar Mod. As a result, 41 civilians were stranded at the location.

A team of Indian Army immediately launched a rescue operation from JCP at Poshana and rescued the stranded passangers.

The rescue operation was terminated at 2100 H and 41 civilians were safely rescued. Detl are as follows : – Male – 25,Females – 08, Children – 02, Aged – 06

No injuries reported.

Adequate heating arrangements and warm meals were catered for the rescued pers. The civilians were highly appreciative of the swift action of Army which saved them from vagaries of weather and harsh terrain.
