Red Cross distributes relief among families of disabled persons

SRINAGAR, JUNE 19: The J&K Chapter of Red Cross Society today distributed 52 food kits among the families of physically challenged persons identified by Disability Welfare Trust, Soura at their door steps located at Batamaloo, Maisuma, Dalgate, Maisuma, Soura and few families of Pulwama.

Honorary General Secretary, IRCS-J&K UT, Kifayat Hussain Rizvi on the occasion said that COVID-19 may have affected a number of people belonging to this category, who need to be looked after.

He reiterated IRCS’s commitment to explore possibilities to support/ rehabilitate people with different abilities, orphans, old and infirm and in this regard, partnership with renowned NGOs working for the betterment of physically challenged person may be considered.
