SRINAGAR, JUNE 24: Secretary ARI and Trainings, Abdul Majid, today visited Government Press Sempora and took stock of ongoing renovation work on office-cum-store block coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 2 crore.

General Manager Government Press, Ajaz Ahmad Akhoon and other concerned officers accompanied the Secretary during his visit.

While inspecting progress on office-cum-store block, Secretary directed upon the executive agencies to gear up the pace of work so that it can be handed over to the department at an earliest.

Secretary said that the government press, Srinagar, has been playing a vital role in the UT administration by catering to the day to day demands of intending departments. He said that the department has recently enhanced inline numbering with printing and multicolor digital printing capacity for speedy dispatch of high quality and high volume jobs.

Majeed asked the concerned officers to finish all the pending mechanical and electrical works expeditiously to make the block fully functional.

Later, Secretary had an interaction with the employees regarding their issues and concerns. He assured them of redressal of all their genuine grievances including timely conduct of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting. He also instructed the employees to religiously follow Covid appropriate behaviour in order to keep this dreaded disease at bay.
