KUPWARA, MAY 29: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg, today, visited Kralpora tehsil and inspected under construction new building at sub district Hospital. The Deputy Commissioner took stock of the construction work of sub district Hospital which can be designated COVID-19 Hospital, so that the present COVID-19 hospital, housing in the sub district Hospital Kupwara in the main town Kupwara, is shifted to new building. He directed the concerned executive agency to speed up and accelerate the construction process and ensure that it is completed within fortnight.The Deputy Commissioner was informed that over 60 bed accommodation could be made available in the COVID-19 Hospital, besides other facilities including laboratory and doctors/ staff room. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Nazir Ahmad Lone, Chief Medical Officer, Dr.Kausar Amin, District Health Officer / District Nodal officer for COVID-19, Dr Abdul Gani Dar, Executive Engineers of PDD, R&B, and other concerned officers accompanied him.Earlier, the DDC convened a meeting with concerned officers and reviewed the status of the buildings which are nearing completion to be utilized as quarantine centres in the district.He was informed that 19 buildings are nearing completion across the district with minor requirements of water & electricity supply, finishing to be done.The DDC directed executing agencies to coordinate with the Engineers of PDD and PHE to complete the remaining part of work within the next twenty days.Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, CMO, CEO, Executive Engineer R&B Kupwara/Handwara, Executive Engineer Electric Division Kupwara & Handwara, DGM, JKPCC and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
