11 cases under Mumkin Scheme approved at Anantnag

DC appeals eligible youth to avail benefits, calls for generating awareness of scheme

ANANTNAG, JULY 03:

District Level Implementation Committee today approved eleven (11) cases for disbursement of loan to them under Customised Livelihood Generation, Mumkin Scheme, here. Beneficiaries hailing from different areas of the district including those from far flung places have been covered.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner, Chairman DLIC Anantnag Dr. Piyush Singla took detailed review of the implementation of the (Mumkin) scheme in meeting of District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC).

During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held on different aspects of the scheme to ensure hassle-free and time bound approval of cases.

Highlighting the importance of the scheme, the Chairman DLIC/DC said “MUMKIN” scheme is a livelihood generation scheme launched by the Government through which aspiring eligible unemployed youth can avail benefits to purchase light commercial vehicles to earn livelihood under subsidized norms

Dr. Singla impresed upon AD Employment to bring more progressive youth under the ambit of the scheme by generating awareness among them. He also apealed eligible youth to come forward and avail livelihood benefits under the scheme.

The meeting was informed that beneficiaries under the scheme are supported by scheme partners and Government through 20 percent of the on road price of the vehicle as subsidy in order to meet their margin money management including insurance/registration charges and initial repayment obligations (EMIs). It was further given out that rest cases will be be placed before the Committee for approval in coming days
