The tournament was organised with the objective to harness the talent of youth in sports activities. This event is organised every year for last 40 years and teams and players from different districts come here to participate.
The 30 day long tournament started on 14 June, 2021 and concluded today with the final match played between Ertuğrul Ghazi Cricket Club and Star Cricket Club.
In this tournament as many as 42 teams from various parts of the Rajauri and Poonch took part. The teams played the league matches, out of which four teams emerged as semifinalists. The semifinalists played matches and then two teams were selected for the finals.
Earugral Ghazi Cricket Club (EGCC) emerged as the “Winner of the tournament’.
The Man of the series prize was given to Anjum Khan, where as Man of the match was given to Toheed Ahmed of EGCC for putting 65 runs on board and taking 3 wickets in the final match.
Ayaz Ahmed, Captian EGCC, picked up the trophy for his team and shared the victory moments with team members. He said that it was the collective effort of the team and positive vibes recieved for people who extended their support throughout the tournament.
The winning team was sponsored by Al-Bilal Security Management Services.
