18 apple trees, residential house damaged in Tangmarg fire incident

Tangmarg, July 18 : Ove a dozen apple trees and a residential house suffered damage in a fire incident in Tangmarg area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The fire incident was reported from Khanchipora area of Tangmarg.

Local sources told news agency that a residential house located close to an orchard caught fire. The fire spread quickly and caused extensive damage to nearby 18 apple trees, besides the house.

They said before fire fighters reached the spot the apple tree and the residential house was completely damaged.

A police official while confirming the fire incident said prima facie it seems short circuit caused the fire. He said that house belonged to one four sons of Ghulam Ahmed Chopan.
