The weather is likely to improve from Saturday afternoon after days of rains, said an official from Meteorological department Kashmir.
An official said that weather is likely to improve in from Saturday afternoon. Dry weather is expected to continue till March 31. Reports said that the higher reaches including Gulmarg and Sonamarg witnessed a fresh snowfall today while as rain lashes parts of Kashmir.Srinagar, the summer capital of the state recorded a low of 6.8 while the mercury in Qazigund in south Kashmir settled at a low of 7.2 degrees Celsius.The ski resort Gulmarg was at minus 2.0 and tourist destination Pahalgam was at 5.0.Jammu city recorded 17.0 degrees Celsius, Katra town 14.2, Batote 7.7, Banihal 7.5 and Bhaderwah 6.9 degrees as the minimum temperatures.
