Ganderbal 31th july:Acting swiftly upon a specific information regarding gambling in the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora,Police team led by I/C PP Shadipora Sub Inspector Gulzar Ahmad under the supervision of DySP Hqrs. Ganderbal raided the place of gambling at Forest Compartment No.11 Rabitar side, Shadipora and arrested 04 persons on spot. The accused persons were identified as Ghulam Rasool Gulla S/O Ghulam Nabi Gulla R/O Narayan Bagh, Ganderbal, Mohammad Akhter Dar @Setha S/O Ghulam Rasool Dar R/O Lathi Authkhuroo, Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Guru S/O Ali Mohd Guru R/O Narayan Bagh, Ganderbal and Bashir Ahmad Khan @jaja S/O Abdul Salam Khan R/O Narayan Bagh, Ganderbal. Stake money of Rs. 11300/- and a deck of playing cards were also recovered from them.
In this connection, Case FIR No. 144/2021, U/S 13 Gambling Act registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigation taken up.
Community members are requested to extend cooperation to the Police and come forward with such information so that such social crimes are effectively curbed
