Srinagar, 22 Aug 2021. A medical and veterinary camp was organised under
Operation Sadbhavana at Diskit on 21 August 2021 by Siachen Brigade under the
aegis of Fire and Fury Corps to provide basic medical assistance to remote villages
of Nubra Valley. The camp witnessed a large response from locals. A total of 250
patients and 360 animals were screened, diagnosed and provided suitable medical
treatment. In addition to medical treatment, the villagers were also educated on
health related issues, hygiene and sanitation and lifestyle diseases. The event was a
big success and has further strengthened the bonds of friendship between the Indian
Army and citizens of this border areas.
