DC Ganderbal presides over Weekly Block Diwas Listens to issues of PRIs of Kangan, Gund blocks

GANDERBAL, SEPTEMBER 08: The Deputy Commissioner (DC)
Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today presided over the weekly block Diwas
held here at Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat Ganderbal and listened the
issues and grievances of PRIs of Kangan and Gund blocks.
The program witnessed active participation from PRIs of these blocks
who apprised the DC about grievances and developmental needs in their
respective areas.
PRIs put forth their issues relating to problems particularly
development of existing roads, removal of illegal encroachments,
augmentation of drinking water supply and electricity, timely completion of
ongoing works, better health care facilities and other issues of public
importance.
The DC gave patient hearing to the grievances raised and assured
quality disposal of genuine issues in time bound manner.
While interacting with the PRIs, the DC said that the main aim and
objective of Block Diwas is to take a firsthand appraisal of all issues on spot
and to ensure timely and quality disposal of the same.
Replying the issues raised, the DC urged the PRIs to prioritize those
works that have more impact on ground and asked them to play effective
role in supervision and monitoring of development works in their areas for
their timely completion.
Earlier, the ADDC urged the PRIs to make people aware about
various centrally sponsored welfare schemes which are meant for
improving socio-economic conditions of the people especially living in far-
flung areas.

The Block Diwas was also attended by the Additional District
Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Pir Muzafar and concerned BDOs.
