DC Srinagar visits Parimpora Bus Terminal

Directs for macadamization of road, better civic facilities for Transporters & Passengers

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 09: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today visited Parimpora Bus Stand for on the spot redressal of issues of Transporters and Passengers.

The DC was accompanied by Regional Transport Officer, Kashmir, Sajid Yehya Naqash, ARTO Srinagar, Officers from Srinagar Development Authority, R&B, Traffic and other concerned departments

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the stakeholders including Transporters and received first hand apprisal about the problems confronting them and Passengers at the Bus terminal.

The DC directed all concerned officers to immediately take all necessary measures for macadamization of approach road at the Bus Terminal, construction of toilet Block for Transporters/ passengers, removing of scrap material besides ensuring proper hygiene, cleanliness, lighting and drainage system in and around the Parimpora Bus Terminal.

Meanwhile, a delegation of Kashmir Transporters Welfare Association, led by Shabir Ahmad Matta called on the Deputy Commissioner in his Office Chamber and put forth various issues before him regarding welfare of Transporters of Srinagar district.

The DC gave patient hearing to the delegation and assured that all the issues raised by them will be redressed on priority and he himself will take on the spot inspection of the Parimpora Bus Terminal.
