Union Minister of State Home & Youth Affairs & Sports, Nishit Pramanik Interacts with the officers of Youth Services & Sports Department at Youth Hostel Srinagar- attends Finals of Inter Zonal Competitions at AS College

Srinagar August 22: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs & Youth Affairs & Sports Nisith Pramanik who was on a 04 day visit to Kashmir under public outreach programme chaired a meeting of officers & officials of Youth Services & Sports department here at Youth Hostel today.
Director Youth Services & Sports J&K, Gazanfar Ali gave a detailed presentation regarding the programmes and achievements of the department so far. The meeting was attended by Shri Farooq Khan, Advisor to Lt. Governor JK, Principal Secretary to Govt. YS&S Department Shri Alok Kumar, Special Secretary to Govt. M.A. Bhat, Secretary JK Sports Council Nuzhat Gul, Bashir Ahmad, Joint Director Kashmir YS&S, Dr. Hartej Singh Principal Government College Of Physical Education College Ganderbal besides all District Youth Services & Sports Officers of Kashmir Division.
Union MOS also visited the recently established shooting hall at Youth Hostel where he interacted with student trainees undergoing basic training in the discipline of Shooting. Hon’ble Minister assured & also passed on instructions to sponsor 05 student trainees who shall undergo advanced training in Shooting at National Capital Delhi.
Later, N Pramanik visited Amar Singh College Srinagar to witness the closing ceremony & Final Matches of Inter Zonal District level competitions. Khelo India Pledge was imparted to the student in presence of the MOS and other officers from UT administration. Colourful Cultural programmes filled the air with energy and love at the venue. While addressing the gathering he encouraged the student participants to participate in games & Sports to make their lives active and productive. He further highlighted the sports related initiatives of GOI under Khelo India and Fit India Mission. The minister also gave away trophies and awards to the winning teams of the tournament. He also gave away sports kits to Zonal Physical Education offices of District Srinagar. Farooq Khan, Advisor to L.G J&K also addressed the gathering briefly and assured to provide every kind of support for the development of sports infrastructure throughout the UT of J&K for the upliftment of Sports & Games vertical.
