‘Demands Resumption of construction of Central University, Hydroelectric project and road projects’
SRINAGAR, Sep 22: An Apni Party delegation led by District President Ganderbal Javid Mir along with District Party General secretary Mohammad Amin Shah met with the Union Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad at Ganderbal.
The party delegation stressed for an extensive infrastructure upgradation with regards to the construction of roads, developing tourist destinations and resumption of the pending construction at central university at Tulmulla.
“We apprised the Hon’ble Union Minister about the appalling condition of roads at several places in District Ganderbal and demanded that the road widening from Nagbal to Daderhama remains essential for the swift transportation of vehicles,” the delegates remarked.
Baig said the Party members demanded for an immediate resumption of construction work at the proposed Central University Campus in Tulmulla-Ganderbal that remains in limbo for the past several years.
“The students are suffering immensely due to the unavailability of a viable university campus and have to currently carry on their studies in rented buildings and hotels,” Javid Mir said.
At the meeting, Mohammad Amin Shah also apprised the Union Minister about the immense delay over the construction of a prestigious hydroelectricity project proposed to be constructed Behama-Ganderbal.
