One Person Killed, Another Injured As Tractor Falls Into 40-ft Gorge In Ramban

Jammu, Oct 4 : One person was killed and another injured after a tractor they were travelling in skidded of the road and fell down into a gorge in Banihal area of Ramban on Monday, officials said.

They said the driver lost control over tractor (JK03K-8337) and rolled down into 40-ft gorge near Chareel Banihal this afternoon.

One person identified as Mohammad Rafiq of Nowgam Banihal died on the spot while another person Wahied Ahmed from Bengal was injured and shifted to hospital by a rescue team comprising police and others.

SHO Banhial Nayeem Matoo confirmed the death of the person in the accident and said that a case has been registered.
