A cow shed was damaged in a fire incidence at Tangchak area of Lolab Valley.
Fire broke out at 2030hrs in a cowshed belonging to Ashiq Hussain Bhat, house no 10, Jamia Moh, Tangchak. Immediately Indian Army team of ZORAWAR GARRISON, Lolab sprung into action. Meanwhile, Fire Station Sogam had also reached the incident site with Fire Tender. After excessive efforts by the Fire Station Sogam and Indian Army, the fire was brought under control at 2355h, however, there was excessive damage to the shed.
There was however no injury or loss of life reported in the incident. The owner of the house & the locals applauded the joint effort by the Army and Fire Brigade deptt and expressed their gratitude towards the timely effort.
Once again, the selfless & timely effort by the Army won the hearts and minds of the locals thus furthering the motto of #HumsayaHainHum.
