In the ongoing NIFF Youth Football League 2021 at Synthetic Turf Football Stadium Srinagar three matches were played on the 9th Day of the Competition.
First Match of the day started with Kashmir United FA taking on Barbarshah FA which ended in a 1-1 draw as both the teams secured a point each. Player of the Match was given to Asrar of Barbarshah FA by todays Chief Guest of the Match Mrs. Shobhna Sirohi Principal DPS Budgam.
Second match of the day was played between Downtown FA & Eidgah FA in which Downtown comfortably won the match by 6-0. Numaan Rashid from Downtown was adjourned Player of the Match and received his award from Mr. Irfan Ali Conservator J&K Forest Department & Mr. Zahid Ahmad.
In the third and the last match of the day Sopore FA defeated Burnhall FA by 3-0. Player of the Match awarded was given to Arsalan from sopore by Mr. Nazir Ahmad & Mr. Mushtaq, veteran players of Baramulla and Executive Members of NIFF.
Chairman NIFF Mr. B A Malik speaking on the occasion maintained that NIFF is committed to bring back the glory of Football in J&K that has lost during the past few decades. By way of organizing these tournaments and creating playing opportunities to all under aged players equally will definitely produce future stars of J&K. We will be carrying out same league matches in Jammu Division also from next month, he added.
The League is first of its kind of initiative taken by NIFF for providing ample platform to junior age group players. Both the MOM awards carry ₹1500/- of cash and a memento which is being sponsored by New JK Roadways.
