DC B’la Inspects Several Clinics, Nursing Homes in Sopore, reviews implementation of SOPs

BARAMULLA, JUNE 18: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo accompanied by other district officers today inspected various private clinics and nursing homes functioning in Sopore town and took review of the implementation of SOPs and guidelines that have been issued in wake of administration’s decision of unlocking COVID-19 lockdown. On the occasion, DC took a detailed appraisal of the situation during which he issued a slew of directions meant to avert any kind of eventuality that may arise due to COVID-19 spread.The Deputy Commissioner emphasized upon all the medical practitioners to follow the issued guidelines in letter and spirit. He directed them to routinely fumigate all the vital places and use those items in their centres that can be removed or washed away after their use. He also directed them to treat patients in various slots for avoiding any kind of conjuction. DC also directed the concerned functionaries of the health department to formulate a viable mechanism so that all the guidelines pertaining COVID-19 especially avoiding gatherings at the clinics, are followed.Moreover, Dr Itoo reiterated that district administration is committed to provide a better and qualitative healthcare system adding that several initiatives were taken in this regard. He also exhorted upon the different stakeholders to abide by the guidelines issued by the district administration in the interest of public health. He further urged the people to use face masks and avoid unnecessary travel so that they can save themselves from any kind of eventuality.
