Damaged Wires: Over a dozen families are deprived of electricity

Srinagar, Dec 17: Over a dozen families in a Down-Town area of Kashmir capital Srinagar are without electricity as Power Development Department has not replaced worn out electric wires from past one year.

   These families from Khanda Bhawan Nawakadal area told news agency Kashmir all the electric wires are worn out and from past one year they have been requesting PDD officials to replace them, but nothing has been done.

   The locals said they don’t get power supply as damaged wires develop fault on and off. “We request Chief Engineer PDD to look into the matter and resolve our issue so that our homes will also be lit after evening hours,” they said. (KNT)
