Pulwama, Dec 21 : Police claimed to have busted JeM militant module in Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Police said that Awantipora received a reliable input regarding activities of Jaish-e-Mohammad militants in Samboora adjoining areas of Pampore-which is being supported/assisted by terror associates. Acting upon information, Police Awantipora, with the assistance of Army 50 RR and CRPF 110 BN conducted raid and search in suspected areas of Samboora and during search 4 militant associates were arrested.
Police identified them as Zubair Gul, Adil Fayaz, Basit Ali, all residents of Sambora and Shahid Nabi Pandit of Konibal Pampore.
Police said itrecovered incriminating material, a pistol and hand grenade from their possession.
It said theydisclosed that they were in touch with active militant commanders of JeM in the area and were providing logistic/ support to JeM militants for propagating their terror acts and were providing transportation to militants,.
A case in this regard has been registered at Police Station Pampore. (KNT)
