5 stone crushers Illegally operate in Ganderbal,authorities in slumber

Illegal Stone crusher units create hovac on local environment

Ganderbal 29 June:Ganderbal Adminstration are in deep slumber as 5 out of 12 stone crusher units are working Illegally without licences of Geology and mining department.

The stone crusher are operating in Ganderbal from many years but no body in adminstration took any action against them.

People are raising questions how are these crusher units operating from many years and authorities have done nothing about that?

A stone crusher unit in Arch area has taken toll on local environment.It has effected local Agriculture and Horticulture accroding to locals and it is major sources of noise pollution in the area .

Locals told JKNS that the crusher unit in Arch is operating for more then a decade it should be investigated whether it has proper licences and environment clearance of authorities.

Royalty which was taken for construction aggregate material by Geology and mining deparment has been banned by goverment.But people of Ganderbal are asking that how are stone crusher still working despite the ban?

Locals alleged that some officals may be turning blind eye towards the illegality of these stone crushers.

The stone crusher are big threat to environment.It causes air and noise pollution which is dangerous for health.

Pollution control officer Ganderbal Er Khanday ,he did’t responded to repeated phone calls by this reporter.

DMO Geology and mining Ganderbal Er Mohd Manzoor said ,”5 stone crusher units are operating without our licences.It has come to our notice ,now we will soon take action .
