GANDERBAL, JUNE 30: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today inspected the Community Level Camp organized by the Department of Ayurveda Yoga and Naturopathy Unani Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) at Saloora Ganderbal.
During the visit, DC urged the District AYSUH Officer to organize more such camps in other parts of the district to combat Covid-19 pandemic besides carry special awareness programmes for spreading the efficacy of Indian System of Medicines in these times of pandemic among people.
The DC enquired about the medicines including immunity boosters and general medicines that are being made available at the camp for locals.
The District AYSUH Officer, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad informed the DC that during the camp medicines are being provided to boost the immune system of people to combat COVID-19.
He also informed that awareness is being created among people about the importance of following SOPs related to COVID-19, like maintaining social distancing, using face masks and frequent hand washing.
During the day-long camp more than 1500 beneficiaries were treated by the team of doctors besides free immunity booster kits and general medicines were distributed among them.
