Srinagar, July 4: A resident of Shivpora Srinagar Saturday accused Dahar family of grabbing his land and now according to the said man the sons of Dhar want to set up a Multiplex on that land and in all this shoddy process, Dhar not only mislead Badami Bagh Cantonment Board but also took Revenue Officials on board.
Vijay Kumar Sawhney, the man from Shiv Pora Srinagar while addressing a press conference here in Kashmir capital Srinagar said taht the land on which Vikas Dhar and Vishal Dhar want to set up a Multiplex Cinema belongs to him and these brothers in connivance with Revenue Department have occupied it illegally.
“When I complained and made the issue public, the Court of the Financial Commissioner ordered maintenance of Status Quo. However, Vikas Dhar and Vishal Dhar, sons of Vijay Dhar felt agitated by the order and hurriedly too up in hand the construction of a Multi-storey commercial building. Dhar being highly influential managed the building permission from the Cantonment Board by misrepresenting the facts about the land, change of land use and stay order. The lower rungs of the Revenue Department are hand in glove with Vijay Dar and are misrepresenting the facts to the advantage of Dhars,” he said.
Vijay Kumar Sawhney according to news agency KNT said that Dhar feels himself above law and continued with the construction work despite the High Court’s Status Quo order. “This being the situation, a contempt petition is being filed in the Court against the violators,” he said.
He said that land comprising 10 kanals and 10 marlas under Khasra Number 1100/945/802 belongs to his grandfather and his father in view of his posting outside Jammu and Kashmir rented this land to Defense Authorities in 1960. “This land was used by Defense Forces as Officers Mess. Half of this land was vacated by Defense Forces on our demand while rest of it was illegally encroached by one Krishen Kumar Amla,” he said adding that his land of theirs was gifted by Amla to the sons of Dhar with the help of Revenue Department.
